Annual Fund Drive

It's time for our annual fund drive, and we could really use your help. The state cut our funding by nearly a quarter this year, and we've been told to expect another cut this year. You can help us by sending a donation to the library directly, or by using the Donate button to the right.

Clem's BBQ

Don't forget--we're having a Clem's BBQ dinner on March 25. Tickets are available at the library, from board members and Michelle at Nic's.

It's Tax Time again!

A volunteer from the VITA program will be here on Thursday afternoons beginning in February to file state and federal income tax forms for people with low to moderate incomes and the elderly. He can also help with property tax and rent rebates. You must make an appointment, since it can get pretty busy. Call the library at 832-3367 to register.

Your voices were heard!

Pennsylvania public libraries received a 20% cut in this year's budget. Power Library and Interlibrary Loan were also affected. Because of the cuts, we will be changing our hours.
A new budget for next year will be presented in the next few months. Please continue to lobby your local legislators and the governor for more public library money. Your efforts with this budget took us from a 50% cut to 20%, so you were heard! Thanks!
